COVID-19 Update: Two Employees tested positive at Smart.

We received confirmation yesterday, August 17th 2020, that two employees of Smart, located Down Town, have tested positive for COVID-19 through a private medical center. We have asked the individuals to self-isolate for the recommended period as advised by the Ministry of Health. 

We have worked with the Ministry of Health to complete contact tracing and traced all Smart employees who have worked closely with the individuals within the last seven days, and asked them to self-isolate as per guidelines. 

What are we doing to maintain store safety for our customers and employees?

In addition to our existing heightened sanitation measures across all stores, an assessment was completed of the employee’s work-area at the Smart store and we have performed immediate disinfection of the area. 

The Health Department has tested all necessary individuals and conducted an investigation, confirming that Graceway is adhering to all safety guidelines within the workplace for employees and customers.

Electrostatic Deep Clean 
As part of our safety protocols, we have already taken further steps while the store was closed after 8pm and conducted an electrostatic disinfection across the entire Smart building, shop floor, storage space, offices, washrooms and employee areas to ensure the continued safety of our customers and employees. 

Working Hard to Maintain a Safe Environment for All 
Graceway continues to work diligently to maintain the best cleaning and safety standards for our customers and employees. We strictly adhere to the Ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines to maintain public health. 

We remain very confident that our health and safety protocols continue to make our stores and the products we sell safe for all on Providenciales and Grand Turk. 

As members of the Graceway family, we will ensure the affected employees will be taken care of during the self-isolation period and upon their return to work in line with our company values and policies. 

Smart is safe and open.

Due to our initial rapid response and preparedness protocols, we have already thoroughly conducted a deep clean and sanitization so that the Smart store hours can remain as normal, open from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week. 

With the steady rise in confirmed COVID cases within the Turks and Caicos, we will meet the inevitable challenges ahead and do what is best for our customers and employees.
