Earth Day 2024 was celebrated with the theme "Planet vs. Plastic" at Graceway IGA on Leeward Highway, Providenciales. Graceway Communities partnered with TC Reef Fund for this event, aiming to inspire individuals to reduce plastic waste and embrace sustainable living practices.

The event took place on Friday, April 19th, 2024, from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. Attendees had the opportunity to support local growers, explore a diverse selection of plants for sale, and learn about the benefits of incorporating greenery into their living spaces.

Interactive presentations and activities were organized by TC Reef Fund to educate participants about reducing plastic waste and adopting eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.

The community came together to celebrate Earth Day and take steps toward a more sustainable future. It was a successful event, showcasing the collective effort to make a positive impact on the environment.

highlights from our Earth day community clean-up in the nations capital, grand turk

In a bid to further commemorate Earth Day, Graceway Communities extended its efforts to Grand Turk, where a successful clean-up campaign was organized on Saturday, April 27th 2024. Six teams participated in the campaign, collectively collecting an impressive 2567.77 pounds equivalent to 1.2 tons of garbage from the environment. The New Testament Church of God emerged as the winners of the clean-up campaign, receiving a prize of three thousand dollars in recognition of their dedication and hard work.

Commenting on the massive cleanup campaign the board chair stated “The Grand Turk Communities benefitted from a massive cleanup ridding their communities of more than 2,500 pounds of trash.  Kudos to all who showed up to support their communities and their environment! The TCI can look forward to more environmentally friendly initiatives from Graceway Communities as we continue to make a difference in our communities!”
