Graceway Communities Hosts Back-to-School Fair in Grand Turk
Graceway Communities, the charitable arm of Graceway Supermarkets, took a significant step towards nurturing financial literacy among the youth by organizing its first-ever Back-to-School Fair in Grand Turk on September 2, 2023. Under the exciting carnival theme, this event combined education and entertainment, creating a vibrant atmosphere that left a lasting impact on both students and parents.
The aim of the fair was clear: to instill essential money management skills from an early age. Graceway Communities designed an array of activities that simulated real-life spending scenarios, allowing young participants to grasp critical financial concepts in a fun and interactive manner. Among the highlights of the Back-to-School Fair were:
1. Carnival-Style Fun: The event featured games, face painting, and exciting prizes that kept the atmosphere festive and joyful throughout the day.
2. Food Galore: Attendees enjoyed a delectable spread of food satisfying their taste buds.
3. Sports and Recreation: Sports enthusiasts had a blast engaging in various activities, fostering teamwork and physical fitness.
Hon. Otis Morris, the Minister of Home Affairs and MP for Grand Turk North graced the occasion by officially opening the fair. He emphasized the importance of financial education for our youth and applauded Graceway Communities for its dedication to empowering the next generation with essential life skills.
Commenting on the Back to School extravaganza Communications Manager for Graceway Supermarkets Latoya Walkin stated "Graceway Communities' purpose is to make a positive impact in the communities it serves.
