Graceway Supermarkets Mourns the Passing of Cydric Balanag

It is with great regret and sadness that we share the news, that our own Kristine Rusios’ husband, Cydric Balanag, has passed away suddenly from COVID-19 this weekend.

Cydric was a loyal and trusted member of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force and; above all else, a loving and caring husband to Kristine, and father to their daughter, Ezra.

We give our deepest sympathies and condolences to Kristine and her daughter Ezra during this extremely difficult time.

COVID-19 Update: Two Employees tested positive at Smart.

We received confirmation yesterday, August 17th 2020, that two employees of Smart, located Down Town, have tested positive for COVID-19 through a private medical center. We have asked the individuals to self-isolate for the recommended period as advised by the Ministry of Health. 

We have worked with the Ministry of Health to complete contact tracing and traced all Smart employees who have worked closely with the individuals within the last seven days, and asked them to self-isolate as per guidelines. 

What are we doing to maintain store safety for our customers and employees?

In addition to our existing heightened sanitation measures across all stores, an assessment was completed of the employee’s work-area at the Smart store and we have performed immediate disinfection of the area. 

The Health Department has tested all necessary individuals and conducted an investigation, confirming that Graceway is adhering to all safety guidelines within the workplace for employees and customers.

Electrostatic Deep Clean 
As part of our safety protocols, we have already taken further steps while the store was closed after 8pm and conducted an electrostatic disinfection across the entire Smart building, shop floor, storage space, offices, washrooms and employee areas to ensure the continued safety of our customers and employees. 

Working Hard to Maintain a Safe Environment for All 
Graceway continues to work diligently to maintain the best cleaning and safety standards for our customers and employees. We strictly adhere to the Ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines to maintain public health. 

We remain very confident that our health and safety protocols continue to make our stores and the products we sell safe for all on Providenciales and Grand Turk. 

As members of the Graceway family, we will ensure the affected employees will be taken care of during the self-isolation period and upon their return to work in line with our company values and policies. 

Smart is safe and open.

Due to our initial rapid response and preparedness protocols, we have already thoroughly conducted a deep clean and sanitization so that the Smart store hours can remain as normal, open from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week. 

With the steady rise in confirmed COVID cases within the Turks and Caicos, we will meet the inevitable challenges ahead and do what is best for our customers and employees.

We have worked with the Ministry of Health to complete contact tracing, and traced all Gourmet employees who have worked closely with the individual within the last seven days, and asked them to self-isolate as per guidelines. 

What are we doing to maintain store safety for our customers and employees?

In addition to our existing heightened sanitation measures across all stores, an assessment was completed of the employee’s work-area at the Graceway Gourmet store and we have performed immediate disinfection of the area.

• PROFESSIONAL ELECTROSTATIC CLEAN
  
  As part of our safety protocols, we will be taking further steps this evening and employing a third-party professional electrostatic disinfection service across the entire Gourmet building, shop floor, storage space, offices, washrooms and employee areas to ensure the continued safety of our customers and employees.
  
  Graceway Gourmet will open for normal business hours tomorrow from 7AM – 7PM.

Covid-19 Update: Employee tested positive at Graceway IGA. Store closed for deep clean, to reopen Tuesday 14th, July at noon.

Today we have received confirmation from the Ministry of Health that an employee from Graceway IGA has tested positive for COVID-19. We have asked the individual to self-isolate for the recommended period as advised by the Ministry of Health.

We have worked with the Ministry of Health to complete contact tracing and Graceway employees who worked closely with the individual in the last seven days have been advised to self-isolate as per the Ministry of Health guidelines.

What we are doing to maintain store safety for our customers and employees.

In addition to our existing heightened sanitation measures across all stores, an assessment was completed of the employee’s work-area at the IGA store and we performed an immediate disinfection of the area.

• Professional Electrostatic Deep Clean

  As part of our safety protocols, we will be taking further steps this evening and employing a third-party professional electrostatic disinfection service across the entire IGA building, shop floor, warehouse and offices to ensure the continued safety of our customers and employees.

• Working hard to maintain a safe environment for all

We remain very confident that our health and safety protocols make our stores and the products we sell safe for all on Providenciales.

As a member of the Graceway family, the affected employee will be taken care of during the self-quarantine period and upon their return to work in line with our company values and policies.

Graceway IGA is safe.

Following our initial rapid response and preparedness protocols, an investigation was carried out today by the Ministry of Health. We can confirm the IGA store will be closed tonight from 6pm and will reopen at noon tomorrow (Tuesday 14th, July 2020) to complete a full store deep clean.

We will meet the challenges ahead and do what is best for our customers and employees. As always we will keep you informed on any future changes.
